Winter Is Coming

Former Renegades Player Ricky “manOFsnow” Felty announced via Twitter on Saturday that he wants to take six amateur Overwatch players and mold them into a Semi-Professional Team.

The new project, aptly named “teamOFsnow”, begins with a three-week open application process. At the close of the application process, Felty will hold a series of tryout until he fills out his roster of six. Those six players will receive several months of coaching from Felty with the ultimate goal of getting them signed to an organization.

The 2-3 month coaching window will have 6 nightly 4-hour practices which will include “… scrims, VOD review, map review and more depending on the current lesson plan.”

This style of team building is reminiscent of the early days of Overwatch esport, as the first teams were created by the players and then signed by team organizations. The TwitLonger post did not confirm if Felty would remain with the team after its signed to an organization or elaborate on how he intends to get teams interested in the project.

Ricky “manOFsnow” Felty is a Twitch streamer and a professional Overwatch player who recently helped Renegades to a 5th-6th place finish in the Overwatch Winter Premiere.

Felty encourages everyone who is interested in applying to do so, even if you are unsure if you have what it takes. You can find the link to the application form here.
