Splyce Shakes Up Roster

Splyce Gaming announced Wednesday that it had acquired Former Kungarna players Mohammed “MOETORIOUS” Abuzahria, Andrej “babybay” Francisty, Michael “mykL” Padilla, and Luis “iRemiix” Figueroa.

This represents the bulk of the former Kungarna lineup that took second place in the Overwatch Winter Premier almost 2 weeks ago under the Ghost Gaming banner.

The press release did not give any detail as to why the changes to the roster were made. We had a chance to ask Splyce’s Overwatch Team Manager, Jaesun Won, about the shuffle:

“While we believe that our old roster was strong individually, it didn’t seem to be meshing together as well as we wanted it to. The opportunity to merge with Kungarna after their fantastic run through the Winter Premiere was too good to pass up. With our new partnership with the Bruins and the new Splyce OW roster we feel like this is going to be a banner year for us. We wish Shrugger, Twidi, Adetonian and Moffitt the best and I know that they won’t stay free agents for too long.”

The new members will join team captain, Bradford “PYYYOUR” Ross, and Flex player Martin “Graceful” Wongprom to fill out the rest of the Splyce squad. Former Splyce players Kevin “Moffitt” Moffitt, Rémy “ADETONIAN” Cabresin and Jussi “twidi” Tiipiö all announced their departures on Monday via Twitter.  Canaan “Shrugger” Carman’s departure was confirmed in Splyce’s press release.
