After a long and much anticipated wait, Overwatch‘s newest hero Sombra was announced today during Blizzcon’s opening ceremonies. In what was supposed to be a video recapping the game’s launch back in May, it was interrupted by a hack initiated by Sombra and lead to the newest animated short. In it follow Sombra, Reaper, and Widowmaker as they infiltrate Volskaya Industries which is currently building anti-Omnic weapons and mechs. The short showcases some of Sombra’s abilities including a personal teleporter, an EMP device that deactives enemy shields, and invisibility. You can watch the movie above.

Not long after her reveal, Sombra’s hero page went live on the official Overwatch website. She’s a three star difficulty hero in the Offense line up of the roster equipped with a short range machine pistol.

Right now Sombra is available for playing live at Blizzcon. She will be coming to the Overwatch PTR next week along with at least one new map, Eco Point: Antarctica, and a new mode called Arcade.

A few lucky streamers were able to play Sombra live on their streams at Blizzcon. Here’s some information gathered from those videos compiled by a member of the Omnic Core discord.

The Overwatch YouTube page added a few more Sombra related videos, including an Origins Story video. Both can be watched below.
